SubTrack ("the app") is a subscription tracking application developed by Mecazor. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. SubTrack is designed with privacy as a core principle: all data stays on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
Information We Collect
SubTrack does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All subscription data you enter is stored locally on your device using an on-device database (Room/SQLite).
SMS Permission (READ_SMS / RECEIVE_SMS)
SubTrack optionally requests permission to read SMS messages. This permission is used exclusively to:
- Auto-detect subscription payment transactions from bank debit messages (e.g., "INR 649 debited for Netflix")
- Identify the service name and amount charged
- Receive real-time notifications when a known subscription is detected
Important: All SMS processing happens entirely on your device. No SMS content is transmitted, uploaded, or shared with anyone. The app only reads messages matching known subscription keywords. This feature is completely optional — you can use the full app without granting SMS access.
Data Storage
All data (subscriptions, settings, preferences) is stored locally on your device. No data is uploaded to any cloud service, server, or third party. Your data is accessible only to you on your device.
Third-Party Services
SubTrack does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection SDKs. The app has no internet permission and makes no network requests.
Data Retention
Your data is stored on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
SubTrack does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
